JUST IN: Pegi residents block FCT Minister’s gate, protest abductions

Residents of Pegi, a community in Kuje Area Council, residents of the area, on Monday morning blocked the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s entrance gate during a peaceful protest.

Former Vice Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Mr. Mohammed Baba and some legislative members were Kidnapped on Sunday.

It was gathered the victims’ bus was hijacked while returning from the office of the new Education Secretary of the council, Mr. Yunusa Zakari.

Aderibigbe said: “Police response to kidnapping in Pegi community is poor”.

NECO to Reschedule Examination due to #EndSARS Protest

  The ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country has forced the National Examinations Council (NECO) to reschedule one of its Senior SChool Certificate Examinations papers currently ongoing across the country. NECO in a statement in Minna on Sunday evening signed by its Head Information Unit, Mallam Azeez Sani, said the Computer Studies Practicals paper 1 earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10am to 1pm has been rescheduled for Monday 16 November 2020, 10am-1pm. Mallam Sani disclosed that the decision to reschedule the Examinations followed blockage of free movement of vehicles at the City gate in Benin, the Edo state capital, hence the inability of the council vehicles to deliver the papers for the Monday Examinations.
