Goodluck Jonathan speaks on #EndSARS protest

Goodluck Jonathan has commented on the #EndSARS protest holding in several states across the country. 

 


The former President who stated that the protests seek to advance Nigeria as a place where all can live out their full potential, added that no bloods needs to be spilled.

 

Jonathan also implored everyone to exercise restraint. He tweeted; 

 

No Nigerian blood needs to be spilled or life lost during a peaceful protest that seeks to advance our country.

We may hold different views on national issues, but there is no doubt that most people desire the same thing for Nigeria: a place where we can all live out the full potential of our God-given abilities. I implore everyone to exercise restraint as we walk through these challenging times.

Ross Barkley joins Aston Villa on loan

  Aston Villa have signed England midfielder Ross Barkley from Chelsea on a season-long loan. Barkley, who has 33 international caps, has been at Stamford Bridge since moving from Everton in January 2018. The 26-year-old has played three times for Chelsea this season, scoring once. "Capturing a player of Ross's quality is a real coup for our club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team," said Villa manager Dean Smith. Barkley left boyhood club Everton following 179 appearances and 27 goals for the Toffees.
