#EndSARS: I did not deny protesting.— Davido clarifies

Davido has dismissed claims that he denied participating in the End SARS protest in Abuja.

 

The singer had a brief meeting with Nigerian Police Force spokesperson, Frank Mba, on Monday October 12. While speaking with Mba, Davido said he doesn't want to have a closed-door meeting with the police. Mba responded saying

''How can you come here for a closed door meeting when you were protesting''

 

Davido immediately responded saying ''No I didn't protest''

In a statement released on his social media handle last night, Davido said his comment was taken out of context as he wasn't denying that he protested.

Ross Barkley joins Aston Villa on loan

  Aston Villa have signed England midfielder Ross Barkley from Chelsea on a season-long loan. Barkley, who has 33 international caps, has been at Stamford Bridge since moving from Everton in January 2018. The 26-year-old has played three times for Chelsea this season, scoring once. "Capturing a player of Ross's quality is a real coup for our club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team," said Villa manager Dean Smith. Barkley left boyhood club Everton following 179 appearances and 27 goals for the Toffees.
