COVID-19: Enugu reopens tertiary institutions Oct 12.

Enugu State government has announced the reopening of both private and public tertiary institutions in the state in a move to relax COVID-19 restrictions.


The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, in a statement yesterday directed tertiary institutions in the state to reopen on October 12, 2020.


Eze further directed the management of each of the institutions to announce specific dates of resumption of academic activities when the approved guidelines for COVID-19 have been met.

NECO to Reschedule Examination due to #EndSARS Protest

  The ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country has forced the National Examinations Council (NECO) to reschedule one of its Senior SChool Certificate Examinations papers currently ongoing across the country. NECO in a statement in Minna on Sunday evening signed by its Head Information Unit, Mallam Azeez Sani, said the Computer Studies Practicals paper 1 earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10am to 1pm has been rescheduled for Monday 16 November 2020, 10am-1pm. Mallam Sani disclosed that the decision to reschedule the Examinations followed blockage of free movement of vehicles at the City gate in Benin, the Edo state capital, hence the inability of the council vehicles to deliver the papers for the Monday Examinations.
