Alleged Nigerian drug peddler arrested in India with cocaine worth over $4000

The Tuling Police in Maharashtra, India on Thursday, October 8, arrested a Nigerian national after he was allegedly found to be in possession of 33 grams of cocaine.

 

The arrest was made in the Oswal Nagri area of Nalasopara, Mumbai based on specific input received by the police and cocaine worth Rs 3.33 lakhs was seized.

 

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.

NECO to Reschedule Examination due to #EndSARS Protest

  The ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country has forced the National Examinations Council (NECO) to reschedule one of its Senior SChool Certificate Examinations papers currently ongoing across the country. NECO in a statement in Minna on Sunday evening signed by its Head Information Unit, Mallam Azeez Sani, said the Computer Studies Practicals paper 1 earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10am to 1pm has been rescheduled for Monday 16 November 2020, 10am-1pm. Mallam Sani disclosed that the decision to reschedule the Examinations followed blockage of free movement of vehicles at the City gate in Benin, the Edo state capital, hence the inability of the council vehicles to deliver the papers for the Monday Examinations.
