Jose Mourinho provides Son Heung-min injury update after subbing star at half-time.

Jose Mourinho admitted Son Heung-min will be sidelined for a while after being substituted midway through Tottenhams match with Newcastle. The South Korean forward was replaced at half-time during the clash at St. James Park.

Speaking after the match, Mourinho confirmed it was not good news for his charge.

Its an injury, Mourinho said in his press conference. Well have him out for a while. Its his hamstring.

Son has already had to battle injury issues once this year having recovered from a fractured arm back in February to feature in the final games of the 2019/20 season

During the game against Newcastle United, Eric Dier was penalised late on after Andy Carrolls header struck his arm even though the Spurs defender was not even looking at the ball. Callum Wilson converted the subsequent penalty in the 97th minute, thus cancelling out Lucas Mouras earlier goal to earn both sides a share of the points.

Mourinho refused to comment on the decision after the game for fear of incurring a fine.
